Campaigns

No matter the size or shape of the campaign your organization is considering, Collins/MacMillan, LLC can provide the counsel needed to assure success.  Working from the conviction that every institution is different, we take the time to listen and learn exactly what you hope to accomplish.  Then, we bring years of broad, varied experience to bear on your particular situation.  We are prepared to offer guidance and advise campaigns of all shapes and sizes – everything from small annual giving campaigns, to fundraising efforts designed to complete a single capital project, to multi-million dollar comprehensive campaigns.  Collins/MacMillan, LLC provides counsel in all areas of advancement planning, preparation, and implementation including the following:

  • Conducting campaign feasibility studies
  • Recommending the size and scope of the campaign
  • Developing campaign goals and objectives
  • Crafting and refining case statements
  • Shaping overall campaign strategy and planning, including campaign timelines
  • Outlining volunteer structure and organization
  • Suggesting staffing levels and position assignments
  • Preparing campaign budgets
  • Researching major gift prospects
  • Designing, printing, and producing campaign publications and other collateral materials
  • Establishing processes for gift records, accounting, and reports
  • Training campaign volunteers, board members, institutional leadership, and staff to assume appropriate, effective fundraising roles

In the end, we believe that the success of a fundraising campaign is defined by what happens at an institution after the campaign is over.  For that reason, we strive to ensure that your overall fundraising programs will be stronger, your annual fundraising efforts will reach a higher level, your staff will be better trained, and your leadership will understand the value of an ongoing investment in fundraising.
